2006 – 2009
Sinner
Schrader
At the time, SinnerSchrader was one of Germany’s major digital agencies. Between 2006 and 2009, I worked there as an Art Director on digital brand experiences, interactive applications and online marketing for clients increasingly defining their role in digital themselves.
My role
Art Director
My work ranged from concept and art direction to visual execution. It also included presentations, direct client contact, workshops, new business and projects across multiple locations.

The agency as its own digital brand
A digital agency does not only sell ideas for other brands. Its own presence has to show what the agency itself stands for. The SinnerSchrader website therefore became a stage for attitude, design and digital expertise.
Radical Relationships
Instead of a conventional agency website, the experience used a reduced list of links leading directly to clients, projects and external content. Connectivity itself became the concept – a deliberately radical approach that sparked controversy at the time.
Project & Contribution
As Art Director, I contributed to the conceptual and visual development of the agency’s own presence. The central question was how the agency itself could be positioned and experienced as a digital brand.

NEXT08 – a conference becomes a brand
NEXT08 brought the digital industry together. The conference needed a coherent visual experience across programme, topics and event – both digitally and in physical space.
Project & Contribution
For NEXT08, I designed the programme booklet and other applications within the event identity. The key visual I photographed was also used across different media.

Deutsche Bank Private Client Portal
The relaunch of the private client portal was about more than placing a new surface over the existing website. Navigation, information hierarchy and design were developed into a system capable of supporting a large portal.
Project & Contribution
I played a major part in developing the navigation concept. My master template formed the visual basis for the subsequent screens and defined typography, spacing, navigation elements, buttons and states, among other things. The homepage was created as a team effort, with me playing a major role in its design. The further pages were also developed collaboratively.
